Weekly Adware Report. Volume 3

This week we found more adware programs developed by SuperWeb LLC. AppEnable, BrowseStudio, and Web Tripp offer to enhance the quality of your web search and experience. However, these claims are designed to attract computer users to this adware programs for making money on users' clicks. One of interesting programs is ClickCaption that offers extended search for highlighted words and phrases in web pages that you visit. It looks good is useful but ad supported as any adware program.



Below is a short introduction for the most notable adware programs that we collect for research and guides that help to remove these mostly unwanted programs often called PUP (Potentially Unwanted Programs).

ClickCaption


ClickCaption is a potentially unwanted program that offers popup menus with links to various information sources when a user highlights some term on a web page. This attractive feature is used for spreading adware that helps distributors to make money out of users’ clicks. ClickCaption displays for ads, deals, and coupons in your Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer.





AppEnable


AppEnable is an adware that consists of a Windows program and web browser extension, add-ons, or browser helper objects installed in Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. If you want to remove AppEnable, then you need to remove all of these AppEnable components. Besides displaying ads in your web browser AppEnable compromises your privacy with activities related to web search history tracking.





ApptoU


AppToU adware c an infect your computer after you install some free program from the web. You can notice its presence by “Ads by AppToU” displayed in your Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer. AppToU is designed for such purpose and making money out of your clicks on this ads. Therefore, you can guess why the installation of AppToU is so deceptive.




BrowseStudio


BrowseStudio is an adware program that is offered as one that can enhance you web browsing experience. It is developed by SuperWeb LLC for making money out of users’ clicks on ads displayed in web browsers. This program is bundled to and distributed with popular free programs. If you install such free program and failed to reject the option for BrowseStudio installation, then ads appear in your Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer.



Couponarific


Couponarific is an adware that promises savings for purchases made online and available deals offered by sellers. However, this program is often deceptively installed without user’s consent along with free programs from websites that employ bundling practices for monetizing. Couponarific is not malicious; however, adware is not safe either because it tracks browsing history and might cause privacy problems if your profile is shared among promoters.




EasyDiscountPro


EasyDiscountPro is an adware program that displays ads and deals in your Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer when you visit well-known websites related to online shopping. EasyDiscountPro owners are paid for your clicks on promoted ads, and EasyDiscountPro distributors get some income for installed copies of EasyDiscountPro adware. So, there is no wonder in bundling this program with popular freeware distributed by websites that use adware for monetizing the distribution.


Give4sure


Give4sure offers targeted donations made by sellers from sum paid by a shopper. This adware consists of a Widows program and web browser extension, add-ons, or browser helper objects installed in Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. If you want to remove Give4sure, then you need to remove all of these Give4sure components. Besides displaying ads in your web browser Give4sure compromises your privacy with activities related to web search history tracking.



Hoolapp


Hoolapp application offers PC agent for downloading applications for Android from hoolapp.com and installing them on Android-powered mobile devices. It is not malicious program used for advertising and promotion. However, the adware might be annoying and installed without user’s consent. Hoolapp might come with other applications that display ads in Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Mozilla Firefox.




Popcornew


Popcornew adware consists of a Widows program and web browser extension, add-ons, or browser helper objects installed in Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. If you want to remove Popcornew, then you need to remove all of these Popcornew components. Besides displaying ads in your web browser Popcornew compromises your privacy with activities related to web search history tracking. It also wastes your web traffic and load your computer with activities that you barely need.


TicTaCoupon


TicTaCoupon is an adware that promises savings for online shopping. It is a legitimate program for advertising, but TicTaCoupon is often installed without user’s consent along with other free programs from websites that employ bundling practices for monetizing. TicTaCoupon is not malicious; however, adware is not safe either because tracking of your web browsing history might cause some privacy problems if your profile is shared among promoters.



Web Tripp


Web Tripp adware is a PUP (potentially unwanted program) responsible for ads, deals, coupons, and pop-ups displayed in your Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. It offers to improve your web browsing for attraction. This happens if Web Tripp adware infected your computer when you installed it yourself, or got it installed with a free program that you download. Web Tripp is not malicious, and your antivirus didn’t warn you on this potential threat.





If your computer is infected with one of this adware programs, then you can easily remove them and other similar unwanted programs that are listed in this list of adware removal tools linked to related manual removal guides. Removal procedures described in these guides are very similar, and most of adware programs that are not listed here are just as easy to remove.
